e-VEM for companies – the biggest integration project in Slovenia

The e-VEM portal for commercial companies came to life today, offering the possibility of 16 different procedures to be conducted online. The project of establishing the e-VEM portal, which was ordered by the Ministry of Public Administration, presented a year of cooperation for 30 SRC.SI experts and 14 public administration institutions. Over 600 advisors have been trained to work with the system and over 180 e-VEM entry points are in use by notaries, courts and businesses.
e-VEM GD is the biggest integration project in Slovenia. It has integrated six systems from different institutions and six official registers, including public records and other data sources which store the required data. Globally the project is unique, as all the procedures that the system supports are conducted fully electronically, and processes such as the registration of a company (all legal organisational forms), and other simple procedures, now takes only a few days.
The e-VEM GD system is an integrated application that has been developed by SRC.SI experts in Java and connects the information systems of various public administration bodies that are involved in the work processes of commercial companies. It includes an online application that is a user interface for advisors and citizens, and an integrator that ensures the correct and undisturbed implementation of processes. In setting up the system, modern technologies were used ensuring the systems stability and security. Safety is ensured in accordance with all the statutory provisions and established good practices of electronic business. Due to the variety of integration points, online services, direct connections between data files, and secure email, digital certificates and a secure connection between the server and the user have been installed.
The e-VEM system for commercial companies electronically supports the following procedures:

1. A proposal for entry into the Court/Business Register.
2. A proposal for entry of changes to the Court/Business Register.
3. A proposal for deletion of activity from the Court/Business Register.
4. A proposal for entry of a subsidiary into the Court/Business Register.
5. A proposal for entry of an intended company.
6. A declaration of tax data (Tax Register entries, notification on the change of the tax period, and tax calculation). 
7. The lodging of claims for issuing the VAT identification number (VAT-P2).
8. A register of persons with mandatory social insurance (M – 1).
9. A notice on the modification of mandatory social insurance data in open insurance (M – 3)
10. The renunciation of persons entitled to mandatory social insurance (M – 2).
11. A register of family members entitled to mandatory health insurance (M-DČ)
12. Allows the modification of data held on family members (M-DČ).
13. Allows de-registration of family members eligible for mandatory health insurance (M-DČ).
14. Notifies vacancies or types of work (PD-1).
15. Opens the electronic Record of Resolutions for single-member companies – ltd. (e-Notaries).
16. Enter resolutions in the electronic Record of Resolutions for single-member companies – ltd. (e-Notaries).
The users can perform these procedures at e-VEM entry points or at a notary’s, depending on the type of the commercial company. The users can even conduct some of the above mentioned procedures independently.
