CarKing enhances the selling of motor vehicles

Modular architecture allows CarKing business solution to be implemented gradually, adapting to the requirements and processes ongoing in the company. The introduction of the individual modules is quick and easy. The positive effects of CarKing implementation are quickly felt.

CarKing modules are divided into three groups.

Catalog

This is used to define motor vehicles from the commercial and technical aspect for the requirements of brochures, invoicess, pre-invoicing, contracts, homologation documents, and automatic identification and classification of motor vehicles from the supplier’s invoices (where there is computer transfer of data). In the same way we can specify series, optional, country-specific and add-on equipment, plus possible colours and upholstery. It enables us to define the equipment assembled and the dependence between items or combinations of equipment. It also contains a copy of the motor vehicle’s certificate of conformity.

Calculations

is intended for the formulation of various price lists and the preparation of various calculations. The module is extremely important for the operation of the entire system and for links to other software packages (such as the financial package).
The Calculations module supports the following business functions:

• price list of motor vehicles and extra equipment with calculations
• exchange rate of the price list currency
• types of fixed cost
• customs rates and tax brackets, cost centres
• methods (types) of sale, additional text on documents
• types of credit, discounts and special sales

ValKing Server

is intended for work with currency exchange rates. Over the Internet it enables a direct connection with the Bank of Slovenia, where the programme automatically seeks the latest or missing data on exchange rates, and enters them into the database.

RepDesign

is intended for formulating reports. Users can create a new report or change an existing one. Reports are arranged into logical groups. Users can create their own group or hierarchy of report groups. In addition to designing reports, users can also see previews of reports on-screen or obtain printouts. Prior to printout or preview the user enters parameters by means of entry fields, drop-down lists and a calendar. The other modules of the business solution can also use the CarKing RepDesign programme package for designing their own reports.

Admin

is intended for the administration of the applications and data server. Its primary purpose is users and user groups administration, control of activities (log), configuration of automatic settings or upgrades for the users of various applications, performing SQL queries or script on the data server and halting the applications server. This provides the administrator with simple control and administration of the applications server from any location at any time. Such an approach enables the rapid detection and elimination of errors.

The Admin module supports the following business functions:

• users administration
• user groups (roles) administration
• historical review of activities on the applications server (daily log)
• performing SQL queries or script on the data server
• configuration of automatic client settings
• transfer of files to server
• halting the applications server
