MRVL – Register of Vehicles and Vehicle Documents
The register of vehicles and traffic documents is an information
system for storing data on vehicles and associated
documentation (users, owners, registration plates, certificates of registration,
roadworthiness certificates, automobile insurance, road tolls,
limits, locations, annotations, archives ...) that provides
registration organizations (administrative units, roadworthiness
testing centers, vehicle retailers) with the support
necessary for procedures related to lifetime
vehicle tracking and associated
documentation. The solution is closely integrated with the
Ministry of Transport's system for issuing compliance certificates
on the basis of homologation regulations.
Users in registration organizations use the FormX client
to access the MRVL register through the HKOM network over
the HTTPS protocol. A username and password are used for
authentication, and the FormX client can be integrated with
local hardware and software. Users can perform various services
according to their role in the MRVL system.
The vehicle register
is one basic component among all central registers; it
is part of the technological and methodological
design of the e-Government project and is administered
by the Ministry of the Interior. The Ministry uses it for
administrative
and professional monitoring and inspection of
vehicle roadworthiness testing.
The correct functioning
of this system is key
for successful interaction between customers and the government.
The system is based on the effective performance of tasks
for which several ministries and business systems are
responsible and operates in the production environment of
the Ministry
of Public Administration. It became operational on 6
March 2006 when entry of new vehicle and registration data
commenced
after the successful transfer of data from the old register
of vehicles and vehicle documents.
